Jesse Dougherty: When asked if he was checked out after crashing into the board, Sidney Crosby said: “Yeah, yeah… standard.”
Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Captain Sidney Crosby reportedly said he was evaluated for a concussion. Coach Mike Sullivan said that Crosby wasn’t evaluated for a concussion.
Sam Werner asked Sullivan if he was concerned when Crosby was slow to get up and if he was evaluated for a concussion during the first intermission, Sullivan said “No. … No.”
Crosby said he had the wind knocked out of him.
“When you go in like that, it just kind of knocked the wind out of me,” Crosby said. “Kind of a fluky fall. Not one you want to take too often.”
The Penguins are scheduled to practice today at 12:15 and it’s closed to the public.
