On the Tampa Bay Lightning …
  • Erik Erlendsson: Center Tyler Johnson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Will see if he’s able to practice today.
  • Joe Smith: GM Steve Yzerman indicated that Johnson could be ready for Game 1 against the Red Wings.
On the New York Rangers …
  • Andrew Gross: No updates on injured Rangers yesterday, though Marc Staal said that Eric Staal was in pain.
On the Washington Capitals …
  • Mike Vogl: Forward Jay Beagle is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
On the Anaheim Ducks …
  • Eric Stephens: The Ducks sent John Gibson and Ryan Kesler back to Orange County on Saturday night. Both have lower-body injuries, but should be fine for Game 1.
On the Minnesota Wild …
  • Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune: Zach Parise missed his third straight practice yesterday after what started as just a maintenance day. Coach John Torchetti would only say that Parise is day-to-day. It’s unclear if it’s the upper-body injury that had been bothering him during the second half of the season or if it’s something new. Torchetti wouldn’t say if Parise will be ready for Game 1.
On the Toronto Maple Leafs …
  • Jonas Siegel: Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello said that Stephane Robidas’s playing career could be over. Lamoriello added that he doesn’t know if Robidas or Joffrey Lupul will play next season.
