Bruins injury updates

Boston Bruins: Bruins injury update from head coach Bruce Cassidy.

Defenseman Kevan Miller is expected to play against the Red Wings.

Defensemen Charlie McAvoy and Urho Vaakanainen will meet up with the team in Detroit. They will practice with the team but not play against the Red Wings. They are questionable for playing on the weekend.

Boston Bruins: Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy on Patrice Bergeron‘s upper-body injury: “He was meeting today, so we have nothing new. I know he was in a lot of pain, but I don’t know if there’s anything major which is good news. But I don’t want to speculate. I just know that he’s not coming back to Detroit.”

Scandella leaves with a lower-body injury

Juulsen update coming today

Brian Wilde: Montreal Canadiens defenseman Noah Juulsen was at the hospital last night getting checked out. An update will come today.

Arpon Basu: According to coach Claude Julien said that it’s unlikely Shea Weber and Paul Byron will play this week.

Crosby progress and Cullen out long-term

Pens Inside Scoop: Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan on Sidney Crosby‘s injury status:  “Sid is making significant progress. He participated in the practice. As you guys saw, it was in a non-contact fashion. His status is day-to-day at this point.”

Jonathan Bombulie: Forward Matt Cullen will be out long-term with a lower-body injury according to coach Sullivan.

Paquette out short-term

Caley Chelios: Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper said that Cedric Paquette missed last night’s game after he blocked a shot against the Flyers and that it’s not a long-term injury.

Kuznetsov and Oshie are not skating yet

Isabelle Khurshudyan: Washington Capitals coach Todd Reirden said that Evgeny Kuznetsov and T.J. Oshie haven’t been skating. He would only say that they are day-to-day. Unlikely for Wednesday’s game.
