NHL Injury notes

Charlie Roumeliotis: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Calvin de Haan will not play tonight.

Scott Powers: Blackhawks Kirby Dach: “If he’s ready, he’s going to play. He’s not just going to be a practice player for us forever. But he’s not quite there yet. … We’re hoping to get him in games at some point, but he’s not quite there yet.”

Elliotte Friedman: Dallas Stars coach Jim Montgomery said that Roman Polak has full movement of his extremities. He was taken to the hospital.

Sean Shapiro: Polak was feeling better at the hospital. Forward Jason Dickinson will be out for at least a week. Forward Blake Comeau will be out for multiple weeks.

Ted Kulfan: Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill basically said that Dylan Larkin will play on Saturday. He didn’t seem that enthusiastic about Andreas Athanasiou playing.

Daniel Nugent-Bowman: Edmonton Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson broke a bone after blocking a shot Wednesday night in the first period. He won’t require surgery.

  • Edmonton Oilers: Larsson will miss six to eight weeks with a fractured fibula.
  • Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers have put Larsson on the LTIR.

Sam Carchidi: Philadelphia Flyers forward Tyler Pitlick has been cleared and will be in the lineup today.

Kristen Shilton: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Travis Dermott and forward Zach Hyman were on the ice for practice yesterday. Both are recovering from offseason surgery.

David Schoen: Vegas Golden Knights forward Nate Schmidt is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Dan Rosen: Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little (concussion) was on the ice for a light skate yesterday morning.
