NHL Injury Updates

Blue Jackets PR: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Alexandre Texier left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

  • Aaron Portzline: Texier fell awkwardly after getting tangled up with Chris Stewart on a face-off. It looked like he had a right leg injury.

Dana Wakiji: Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said that forward Adam Erne likely isn’t ready to return today, but Tuesday is a possibility.

Forward Justin Abdelkader didn’t skate yesterday so he’s likely not ready for today.

Daniel Nugent-Bowman: Edmonton Oilers defenseman Joel Persson is getting close to returning to the lineup. He needs to get through a few more practices before he’s ready.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers coach Joel Quenneville said that forward Vincent Trocheck (lower-body) is doubtful for today. He could be ready for Monday or Wednesday.

Jessi Pierce: Minnesota Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said that Devan Dubnyk should be able to return sometime this week.

Minnesota Wild: The Wild have activated forward Joel Eriksson Ek from the IR and reassigned forward Gabriel Dumont.

Nashville Predators: Matt Duchene was not able to play last night due to his lower-body injury.

Brett Cyrgalis: New York Rangers forward Ryan Strome has the flu but coach David Quinn expects him to be able to play.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Forward Nick Bjugstad and Bryan Rust returned to the lineup last night.

Jonas Siegel: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Travis Dermott could be ready to return to the lineup on Tuesday.
