NHL Injury Updates

Elliott Teaford: Anaheim Ducks Hampus Lindholm missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Joe Haggerty: Boston Bruins Par Lindholm left yesterday’s game with an upper-body injury. Coach Bruce Cassidy didn’t have an update after the game, and the team is off today.

Lance Lysowski: Buffalo Sabres coach Ralph Krueger said there isn’t a timeline for Brandon Montour (hand) to return to the lineup. He only started being able to use a stick a week, and only had three days of training camp before his injury.

John Hoven: Los Angeles Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi is “progressing well” but he’s not ready to start practicing with the Ontario Reign (AHL) just yet. It could be a few more days.

Cory Wright of NHL.com: The New York Islanders will be without Matt Martin and Tom Kuhnhackl for four to six weeks with lower-body injuries.

“Tom Kuhnhackl, that will be about four-to-six weeks, minimum four and hopefully maximum six. Matt Martin is a similar status, four-to-six weeks,” Lamoriello said. “It’s tough to lose any player, especially the way they play and the roles they play and how important they are to the team, on the bench, in the locker room and on the ice.”

Leo Komarov is still day-to-day with an illness.

Jordan Eberle has started light skating on his own. They don’t have a timetable for him yet.

Andrew Ladd is still targeting to return in late-November.

Dan Rosen: New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad left last night’s games with an upper-body injury. He took a hard hit from Bruins Patrick Bergeron in the first period. He took one more shift then left.

Tom Timmermann: St. Louis Blues Alex Steen left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

  • Tom Timmermann: Blues coach Craig Berube didn’t think Steen’s injury would be serious.

Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks Radim Simek will start a conditioning stint soon.
