NHL Injury Updates

Eric Stephens of The Athletic: Anaheim Ducks defenseman Josh Manson (lower-body) and forward Ondrej Kase (upper-body) are likely are out this weekend. An update should come today after an off day yesterday.

Jimmy Murphy: Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said that David Krejci is likely out with his upper-body injury.

Joakim Nordstrom (foot) will return to the lineup.

Conor Ryan: Bruins defensemen Kevan Miller and John Moore were on the ice before practice yesterday. Miller is getting closer to returning.

Bill Hoppe of Buffalo Hockey Beat: Buffalo Sabres defenseman Marco Scandella (lower-body) and forward Jimmy Vesey (upper-body) missed last night’s game and will be re-evaluated this weekend.

Ansar Khan: Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser (lower-body) is out for another two weeks.

Forward Luke Glendening (hand) is out two to four weeks.

Forward Justin Abdelkader is day-to-day.

Forward Adam Erne could return tomorrow.

Edmonton Oilers: Forward Josh Archibald was put on the IR and will be out for two to four weeks with a fractured right foot.

NHL.com: Minnesota Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk hasn’t been ruled out against the LA Kings tonight but it may make more sense to wait until Tuesday against the Stars.

Dubnyk left Tuesday game after a collision in the second period.

“It was a muscle in my side when ran into me,” Dubnyk told the Wild’s website. “It probably looked worse impact-wise hitting the ice than it actually was. The damage was done when they clipped my feet.”

Abbey Mastracco: New Jersey Devils defenseman Will Butcher was activated from the IR and the Devils placed defenseman Connor Carrick on the IR with an upper-body injury.

Carrick suffered the injury during practice on Thursday.

New York Islanders: Forward Tom Kuhnhackle left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Louie Korac of NHL.com: St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko didn’t travel with the team for their two game road trip this weekend because of an upper-body injury.

Ken Wiebe: Winnipeg Jets forward Mason Appleton broke a bone in his foot while they were warming up before their outdoor practice playing football.

Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice.

“It will be a month before you can ask about him again.”
