Chris Hine: Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman said that he expects that Dylan Sikura (Northeastern) to be this season’s, John Hayden.

Chris Hine: Meaning that Sikura would likely join the Blackhawks when his college season is done.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika: Defenseman Stephen Johns was diagnosed with concussion symptoms according to the Stars.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Minnesota Wild: GM Chuck Fletcher announced that Zach Parise had successful microdiscectomy surgery and is expected to be out for eight to ten weeks.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Rick Dhaliwal: Coach Travis Green said that Brendan Gaunce is getting close to returning and will be sent to the AHL before playing for the Canucks.

Rick Dhaliwal: Defenseman Troy Stecher will be out four to six weeks with a knee injury.

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Danny Webster of NHL.com: Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) is progressing well and could return to practice soon.

“I think it’s days,” Gallant said. “Not this week, but I think he’s getting better every day.”

After Fleury is cleared for practice, it could be four to five days for him to get back in the lineup.

Backup goaltender Malcolm Subban is expected to be out four weeks with a lower-body injury.
