On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Aaron Portzline: Defenseman Ryan Murray is traveling with the Blue Jackets on their road trip but it’s doubtful that he plays. It is a good sign that he is going with the team.

On the Florida Panthers …

Jameson Olive: Goaltender James Reimer was injured after Aaron Ekblad and Mikael Granlund fell into him.

Jameson Olive: Reimer said after the game that he thinks he’ll be ready to go on Thursday and that he “just tweaked the neck a little bit.”

On the Montreal Canadiens …

Eric Engels: Defenseman Shea Weber doesn’t have any broken bones but there is still no timetable for him to return. Coach Claude Julien said it’s about him healing to a certain point and the medical staff doesn’t know when that will be.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Adam Kimelman: Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said that forward Carter Rowney, goaltender Tristan Jarry, and defenseman Brian Dumoulin would be evaluated today.

Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Rowney never came out for the second period. In the second Dumoulin took a shot to the head and it looked like Jarry has a cut on his right wrist.

Josh Getzoff: Defensemen Kris Letang and Justin Schultz returned to the lineup last night.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Tampa Bay Lightning: Coach Jon Cooper said that forward Ryan Callahan wasn’t quite ready to get back in the lineup last night but there is a chance he’ll be able to return on their road trip.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Jonas Siegel: Forward Nazem Kadri returned to the lineup last night.

On the Washington Capitals …

Washington Post Sports: Defenseman Matt Niskanen missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.
