On the Boston Bruins …

Jimmy Murphy: Rick Nash and Sean Kuraly are listed as “probable” by coach Bruce Cassidy for Game 1. Riley Nash didn’t skate today, but Cassidy didn’t call it a “setback.” Noel Acciari was given a maintenance day.

On the New York Rangers …

Dhiren Mahiban: According to his agent, Alexei Bereglazov was put on unconditional waivers by the Rangers.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Wes Crosby: Coach Mike Sullivan said that Derick Brassard had another good practice today but wouldn’t confirm that he’s good to go for Game 1.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will have surgery to repair a dislocated left shoulder and will be out for four to six months. That timeline should take him to the start of training or the start of the season.

“It will be an injury I think a lot like (Patrik) Berglund had, a lot like Sanford had,” Blues GM Doug Armstrong said. “Unfortunately, we have time on our side to heal that. Those are usually four to six months. That will hopefully get us right to the start of training camp or certainly by the start of the season.”

No other Blues player will require offseason surgery.

Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo will rest his MCL injury.

Goaltender Carter Hutton will rest the herniated disc in his neck.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Caley Chelios: Coach Jon Cooper said that Steven Stamkos‘ status for Game 1 hasn’t changed and that they are “hopeful” that he’ll be able to go.

Adam Erne is still out indefinitely, with Cooper saying “He’s progressing, nothings changed in his timetable.”

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Dave McCarthy: Coach Mike Babcock on if he plans on getting Andreas Johnsson into the Leafs playoff lineup: “This is what I have. I have a lineup to start Game 1 and I just assume everything is going to go good. We’re going to win all our games and I’m going to make no changes.”
