Brian Hedger: Columbus Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella yesterday on Seth Jones‘ lower-body injury: “He gets checked tomorrow. We’ll have more information tomorrow.”
Capitals Kempny leaves in the third period
Ben Raby: Washington Capitals Coach Todd Reirden didn’t update defensemen Michal Kempny‘s status after the game as he was still being evaluated. Kempny left in the third period with an upper-body injury.
No timetable on when Green could return

Kyle Bukauskas: Ottawa Senators coach Guy Boucher had said he had planned to have Zack Smith centering Mark Stone and Brady Tkachuk throughout this week. It seems that the coach didn’t see Smith being placed on waivers either.
Don Brennan: Boucher said that if Smith clears waivers, he would still be in the same spot on their depth chart. So it appears that him being on waivers is strictly a money move.
