Mark Scheig: The Blue Jackets trade Jacob Graves and a conditional 2016 sixth-round pick  in 2019 to the Coyotes for Ryan MacInnis. If MacInnis plays in 20 NHL games this year, the pick becomes a 2020 fifth-round pick.

Mark Scheig: MacInnis could get some NHL time if there are injuries down the middle. Will likely start the season in the AHL.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers have signed forward Josh Currie to a two-year contract.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

John Hoven: The Kings have signed defenseman Alex Lintuniemi to a one-year, two-way deal at a $650,000 salary cap hit. He was a 2014 second-round pick and played in 64 games in the AHL last season.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Sam Carchidi: The Flyers have re-signed goaltender Anthony Stolarz to a one-year, two-way deal at a $761,000 cap hit.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Cap Friendly: The Sharks signed Chris Tierney to a two-year deal with a $2.9375 million salary cap hit. The Sharks don’t have any RFAs left to re-sign and with a 23 man roster, they have $4.38 million in projected salary cap space.

Kevin Kurz: Tierney’s salary breakdown: $2.9 million this year and $2.975 million next year.

Ryan Merkley: Sharks GM Doug Wilson after signing Ryan Merkley to an entry-level deal: “We were impressed with the way he handled himself as the youngest player at our summer development camp and feel that he has a whole new level he has yet to tap into.”
