Michael Russo of The Athletic: Confirmed Elliotte Friedman’s early morning report that the Minnesota Wild have avoided salary arbitration and signed 23-year old defenseman Matt Dumba to a five-year, $30 million contract.
The deal buys two years of unrestricted free agency.
Dumba is now the third highest paid Wild player behind Zach Parise and Ryan Suter.
Forward Jason Zucker has an arbitration hearing scheduled.

The Canucks and Stecher had an arbitration date set for Sunday, July 29th.

The Jets had submitted for $4 million, with Trouba at $7 million. Halfing that would put the number at $5.5 million.
A long-term deal can be agreed upon before the ruling. has speculated a six-year, $36 million deal.
