On the Edmonton Oilers …
Robert Tychkowski of the Edmonton Sun: Goaltender Cam Talbot is hoping to return soon.
“I’m aiming for less than a week,” said Talbot, who took the morning skate Tuesday in Columbus and said his undisclosed soft tissue injury isn’t giving him any problems whatsoever.
Talbot is ahead of schedule.
On the Minnesota Wild …
Michael Russo of The Athletic: Sources are saying that goaltender Devan Dubnyk has a sprained MCL and is week-to-week. Dubnyk will be traveling with the team for treatment as the Wild’s father/mentor-son trip is upcoming.
Dubnyk won’t be on the ice this weekend.
Zach Parise skated with teammates for the first time since having back surgery in October. Parise will also be traveling with the Wild on their four-game road trip but is not expected to play.
Defenseman Jared Spurgeon is skating, with Sunday being the earliest he could return.
On the St. Louis Blues …
Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester had been expecting to play last night, but he was a late scratch.
Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo practiced yesterday and he could be getting close according to coach Mike Yeo.
“Things went well. He’s not in tonight but a good sign that he’s not too far away.”
Goaltender Carter Hutton is also close to returning.
“There’s a chance we could see Hutts this weekend,” Yeo said. “A good practice today, starting to feel better, another guy we’d be excited to get back.”
On the Vegas Golden Knights …
SinBin.Vegas: Defenseman Luca Sbisa missed last night’s game and is day-to-day.
