Darren Dreger: The NHL and NHLPA have talked about playing games in Europe and Asia next year, possibly six teams. Among the countries discussed are China, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland.
Jim Matheson: Have heard that the Edmonton Oilers could end up playing in China because of McDavid.
Jason Gregor: The Oilers playing in Germany has been discussed. Leon Draisaitl is from Germany and Connor McDavid would be a big draw.
David Pagnotta: Bill Daly said when they were in Sweden, that the games played in China will be exhibition games. Hinted that games played in Europe could be regular season games.

“Marcus looks pretty good. We pushed him here the last few days, held him out of the Anaheim game and gave him some good skates,” Devils coach John Hynes said. “Really worked him (Tuesday) in a lot of battle drills.
