On the Anaheim Ducks …

Anaheim Ducks: Forward Patrick Eaves was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome – the body’s immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system. Eaves had been in the ICU but stabilized over the weekend.

Statement from Patrick Eaves:

“I want to thank Dr. Robert Watkins Sr. and Dr. Danny Benmoshe for their early diagnosis of my condition, along with the proactive Ducks medical team. Thanks to them and the incredible nurses at Hoag Hospital, I’m on the road to recovery. I’ve received tremendous amount of support over the last few days, most importantly from my family, friends and teammates. I’m determined to fully overcome this and return to the ice as soon as possible.”

Eric Stephens: Eaves has been in the hospital since last week.

Eric Stephens: Eaves is expected to make a full recovery. The disorder was caught early. If it isn’t detected early, it can be very serious.

Eric Stephens: According to coach Randy Carlyle, defenseman Hampus Lindholm and center Ryan Getzlaf will be in the lineup against the Flyers.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Forward Brendan Perlini hasn’t been cleared yet. He’ll go through the concussion baseline testing in the next couple days according to coach Rick Tocchet.

Craig Morgan: Forwards Perlini and Brad Richardson practiced yesterday. Goaltender Antti Raanta didn’t practice.

On the Calgary Flames …

Derek Willis: Jaromir Jagr is expected to miss about a week. His lower-body issue is a soft tissue injury.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Mike Chambers: The Avalanche have recalled defenseman Andrei Mironov.

Adrian Dater: Defenseman Patrik Nemeth practiced yesterday but only briefly. He won’t be in the lineup tonight.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Jack Michaels: Coach Todd McLellan “anticipates” that Leon Draisaitl and Drake Caggiula will get clearance, but there are no guarantees. Both are questionable for tonight.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Dane Mizutani: The Wild recalled Mike Reilly.

Michael Russo of The Athletic: Wild forward Zach Parise is thinking about back surgery that could keep him out for up to two months according to three sources.

Parise didn’t miss any time last season with a back issue but missed time the prior season with a herniated disk.

The surgery could happen as early as – a non-invasive procedure that would keep him off the ice for a month.

Michael Russo: Forward Nino Niederreiter hopes to be able to skate this week. He still has a slight limp.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Jeremy Rutherford: Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester hasn’t started skating yet.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Dan Murphy: The Canucks have recalled defenseman Patrick Wiercioch and goaltender Thatcher Demko.

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Steve Carp: Coach Gerard Gallant said that Marc-Andre Fleury is making progress and he thinks he is days and not weeks away from returning.

Vegas Golden Knights: Gallant on Fleury: “Not this week, but he’s getting better every day.”
