On the Anaheim Ducks …

Helene Elliott: Forward Ryan Kesler said he’s still a ways away from returning to the lineup. Forward Ryan Getzlaf is closer to returning and will travel with the team on their next trip.

Anaheim Ducks: Getzlaf said he’ll be wearing a visor in the feature. On his injury: “It’s been frustrating. Feeling good physically and watching the guys grind through this has been tough.”

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: The Coyotes loaned Marek Langhamer to Komata Brno of the Czech Extraliga yesterday. The Coyotes had a logjam of goalie prospects, and this was always an option.

On the Dallas Stars …

Scott Burnside: Stars goaltender said he tweaked his back after Tuesday’s game. He missed Thursday’s game but said he should be ready for today’s game against Vegas.

Mark Stepneski: Coach Ken Hitchcock said that Bishop and Antoine Roussel (illness) are close to being ready.

Mark Stepneski: Forward Martin Hanzal (hamstring) and defenseman Marc Methot (knee) both skated before practice for an hour.

Mark Stepnoski: The Stars assigned forward Curtis McKenzie to the AHL.

On the Nashville Predators …

Adam Vingan: The Predators have put forward Ryan Johansen on the IR retroactive to December 2nd.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Kevin Kurz: Defenseman Tim Heed could be an option for the Sharks today.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Jeremy Rutherford: The Blues have put goaltender Carter Hutton on the IR.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Vancouver Canucks: The Canucks reassign goaltender Thatcher Demko to the AHL.

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Vegas Golden Knights: The Golden Knights activated forward David Perron from the IR before last night’s game. He had missed their previous six games.
