On the Calgary Flames …

Kristen Odland of the Calgary Sun: Defenseman Travis Hamonic left practice early yesterday.

“We’re going to get it evaluated and see how he is (Sunday),” the head coach said. “I didn’t see the play but there’s nothing to report until our doctors look at him.”

Forward Jaromir Jagr is still dealing with a groin injury and isn’t ready yet.

“But we’re hoping Tuesday would be a good day,” said Gulutzan, referring to the Flames’ clash with the Vancouver Canucks. “He’s coming along. We’ve had him looked at a couple of times and we want to make sure we deal with the injury properly. But he’s feeling better as we go — we’re targeting next week sometime and hopefully Tuesday.”

On the Dallas Stars …

Mark Stepneski: GM Jim Nill said that forward Brett Ritchie would be out for five to seven days with an upper-body injury.

On the Florida Panthers …

Steve Goldstein: Coach Bob Boughner said yesterday that goaltender Roberto Luongo “looked great yesterday, all positive signs.” Luongo has been out for the past two weeks.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Michael Russo: Coach Bruce Boudreau confirms that defenseman Kyle Quincey has a minor injury.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Jordan Hall: Forward Nolan Patrick (upper-body) skated yesterday but was wearing a no-contact jersey.

On the Vegas Golden Knights …

Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal: Source is saying that there is a tentative deal in place to allow Vadim Shipachyov to retire from the NHL and return to the KHL. The paperwork should be done by tomorrow.

Shipachyov is already in Russian and will have to return almost all of the $2 million signing bonus. The Golden Knights will retain his rights for five years.
