- George Richards of the Miami Herald: Panthers prospect Jacob Markstrom underwent knee surgery and he is done for the year. He will be ready for training camp.
- Jesse Spector of NY Daily News: The New York Rangers have signed their 2010 1st round pick Dylan McIlrath and their 2009 3rd round pick Ryan Bourque to entry level deals. The 6-5, 215 pound McIlrath has 23 points and 141 PIMs with Moose Jaw (WHL) this season. The 5-9, 170 pound Bourque has 26 goals and 31 assists with Quebec (QMJHL).
