- TSNs Insider Trading: Bob McKenzie: The Chicago Blackhawks are looking for a left winger. Rental market options include Andrew Ladd, Mikkel Boedker, Loui Eriksson and maybe Eric Staal. The Blackhawks can fit in a $4 million cap hit player at the deadline. If another team retains some salary, they could add a bigger player.
Pierre LeBrun: The Blackhawks and Lightning did talk about Jonathan Drouin a couple weeks ago.
Darren Dreger: The Sharks would like to add a top-five defenseman like the LA Kings. The Sharks are pushing hard. Maple Leafs Roman Polak is one option, and if they are looking for more skating, Canucks Dan Hamhuis. The Canucks haven’t approached Hamhuis yet about his NTC.
- TSN: Buyers and Sellers heading into the trade deadline.Bob McKenzie: Teams aren’t sure what the market is going to be like this year.
