Daily Faceoff: Josh Yohe wonders if Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Stuart Skinner could be on the move again this season.
“But when you really look at the big picture for the Penguins, you have Arthurs Silovs already in the battery this year, as far as the goaltenders. He’s a restricted free agent after this year, and I have every reason to think he’ll stay in Pittsburgh.
Two young guys right behind him, in the pipeline, and Sergei Murashov, who’s like 22 and six or some kind of outrageous number with Wilkes Barre this year, and has seen a little bit of NHL action. And then there’s Joel Blomqvist as well, who’s battled some injuries, but is steadier now and is getting some repetition at the minor league level for the Penguins, and has also seen some NHL action as well.
. Basically, that’s my long way of saying that, that he could potentially be on the move again as it pertains to this team.

But I think when you look at it, Kyle Dubas and this group, they’ve signed some low risk contracts, and they put themselves in a situation, whether it’s a Silovs. Whether it’s a (Egor) Chinakhov. That these guys are RFAs, and they control, you know, the next move as far as how long and for what term they’ll be Pittsburgh Penguins.”
