On the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nikita Zaitsev and Alexander Radulov …

Maple Leafs Hot Stove: Alessandro Rosso translated AllHockey.ru’s report for MLHS that the Maple Leafs could be looking to bring Nikita Zaitsev and Alexander Radulov over next season.

CSKA Moscow leading players, forward Alexander Radulov and defenseman Nikita Zaitsev, at the end of the current season will leave the Moscow-based club to join the NHL team Toronto Maple Leafs.

According to AllHockey.ru sources, representatives of the Canadian team are in Moscow for a few days as they are negotiating contract details with the players.

It is to be noted that in the past the Toronto-based team had seven Russian players simultaneously in their roster.

CSKA Moscow leading players, forward Alexander Radulov and defenseman Nikita Zaitsev, at the end of the current season will leave the Moscow-based club to join the NHL team Toronto Maple Leafs.

Aivis Kalnins: “Can confirm that Alex Radulov has NOT talked to Leafs and isn’t going to Toronto.”

On Nail Yakupov and the Edmonton Oilers …

Igor Eronko: Nail Yakupov: ‘I asked a trade and #Oilers gave a permission to speak to other teams, about 8 of them were interested, but went wrong.’ The trade request was made before the trade deadline. The comment was made to a colleague of Eronko while they were San Jose.

David Staples of the Edmonton Journal: Teams that could use a scoring winger that might be interested in Yakupov: New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens.

Jonathan Willis of the Edmonton Journal: It’s hard to figure out what Yakupov’s trade value is due to his poor play recently and his untapped potential. Return for the Oilers might be another young player who has struggled and may need a change of scenery was well.
