Bob McKenzie: The Bruins and 2011 5th round draft pick Rob O’Gara are closing in on a two-year entry-level contract. O’Gara had the option to become a free agent on August 15th if he wanted too. He’ll likely sign on with Providence on a ATO and have his contract kick in next season.

Mario Roy: Bill Daly confirmed in an email that there is no chance the Carolina Hurricanes will be relocating to Quebec City.
On the Arizona Coyotes …
Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: Gary Bettman and Coyotes President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc met with individuals about a potential new arena in the greater Phoenix area according to sources. They met with the mayor of Phoenix, state leadership and some officials from Arizona State University.
LeBlanc said over the weekend that he hopes to have an announcement regarding an arena in the next six weeks.
The Coyotes lease at the Gila River Arena expires after next season. LeBlance said it’s highly unlikely that they’ll stay in Glendale long-term.
