The Florida Panthers have traded the contract of Marc Savard and a 2018 2nd round pick to the New Jersey Devils for Graham Black and Paul Thompson.
Savard has not played since the 2010-11 season.
Savard carries a $4,027,143 cap hit, but has a $575,000 salary. 2016-17 is the last year of his seven year, $28.15 million contract.
