On Waivers …

Elliotte Friendman: The Rangers put Dylan McIlrath on waivers and the Blues put Magnus Paajarvi on waivers.

Brett Cyrgalis: McIlrath on being put on waivers: “I’m never going to blame this on the coaches. This was all about my play and not earning a spot in the lineup.”

Brian Compton: “Would be stunned if McIlrath clears. Have to think some team will give him a shot.”

On Craig Anderson …

Steve Lloyd: The Senators have given goalie Craig Anderson a personal leave of absence and recalled Chris Driedger.

“With the support of the entire organization, we’ve provided Craig with a leave of absence so that he can attend to a personal matter at home,” said Senators general manager, Pierre Dorion. “While we are uncertain of how long Craig may be away, he will continue to have our support for as much time as is needed. We will respect his privacy and will have no further comment at this time.”
