Bruins injury notes
Shawn Hutcheon: Boston Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said that defenseman Zdeno Chara has a “facial injury” and was not at the arena today. Cassidy added that they will have more info tomorrow.
Jimmy Murphy: From what has been hearing, think it’s possible that Chara will play again during the Stanley Cup Final.
Steve Conroy: There is some hope that Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk will be ready for Game 5. He still needs to get clearance to play.
Tom Gulitti: Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said that Grezlcyk is still in a concussion protocol. He was skating with the team today.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers have added assistant coaches Mike Kitchen, Andrew Brunette and Derek MacKenzie.
Murray Pam: The Chicago Blackhawks have brought in former coach Marc Crawford.
McDavid and his knee
Joshua Clipperton: Connor McDavid was at a promotional event in Toronto yesterday and wouldn’t answer questions about his knee. He was still wearing a brace and walking around with a limp.
Jim Matheson: “Let’s chill a little. So McDavid limping with brace 2 months after knee ligament tear. There’s over 3 months until training camp, four until regular-season. If he’s not playing in exhib games, then time to be a tad concerned.”
Jim Matheson: Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland on McDavid wearing a knee brace and limping around: “I don’t think there’s anything to be concerned about.”
Ryan Rishaug: Have been informed that McDavid is progressing and his recovery is going well. He’s been wearing a brace for a while.
NHL player signings over the past couple days
New York Rangers: The Rangers have signed defenseman Tarmo Reunanen to an entry-level contract.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Goaltender Veini Vehvilainen signed a two-year entry-level contract.
Jim Matheson: The Edmonton Oilers have signed Shane Starrett to a one-way $700,000 contract.
Daniel Nugent-Bowman: The Oilers have signed forward Brad Malone to a one-year deal.
Stephen Whyno: The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed Finnish goaltender Emil Larmi to a two-year entry-level deal worth $700,000 per.

Dan Milstein: Pavel Datsyuk will be playing with Avtomobilish (Yekaterinberg) next season.
