Michael Traikos via twitter: Korbinian Holzer, Nazem Kadri and Leo Komarov are the only Maple Leafs that do not have to clear waivers. The team has a “gentleman’s agreement” that Komarov won’t be sent to the AHL. Not an issue right now, but if/when the Leafs recall Jake Gardiner, they have only two options (aside from a trade).
