With 22 players under contract they have $6.1 million in salary cap space with RFA Kevin Fiala left to sign.

Senators lock up a young player for six years
Ken Warren of the Ottawa Sun: The Ottawa Senators have signed 22-year old forward Colin White to a six-year, $28.75 million contract – a $4.75 million salary cap hit.
“It’s what both parties wanted all along,” White said. “I truly believe in Ottawa, with the young group we have. It’s the right move for both myself and Ottawa.”
White will get $4 million for the first two seasons of the deal, three years at $4.75 million and $6.25 million in the final season.
Wild hire a GM
Michael Russo of The Athletic: The Minnesota Wild have hired Bill Guerin as their fourth general manager. He has been the Pittsburgh Penguins assistant GM for the past five seasons.
“I am thrilled to announce we have hired Bill Guerin, a four-time Stanley Cup champion, as general manager of the Minnesota Wild,” owner Craig Leipold said in a press release. “Bill has been a winner throughout his hockey career, and I am extremely pleased to be able to add his experience to our organization.”
