Chris Johnston: The New Jersey Devils and Nico Hischier agreed on a seven-year, $50.75 million contract extension – a $7.25 million salary cap hit.
Salary Breakdown:
2020-21: $3 million SB/$4 million salary
2021-22: $7.25 million salary
2022-23: $4.5 million salary
2023-24: $7.75 million salary
2024-25: $7.75 million salary
2025-26: $8 million salary
2026-27: $8.5 million salary
