  • Ken Campbell of the Hockey News: The Ducks will have some decisions to make between now and September 15th (CBA expiration date) with regards to Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Both will be UFAs after this upcoming season. Getzlaf struggled last season with only 11 goals, had under 50 assists for the 1st time in 5 years, and was a -11. If Perry and Getzlaf were UFAs this season, what type of deals would they have received? 2013 RFAs who might be looking for big deals before the new CBA are Milan Lucic, Max Pacioretty, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Tyler Seguin, Alex Pietrangelo, Jeff  Skinner, Ryan McDonagh, Adam Henrique and Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
  • Josh Cooper of the Tennessean: The Predators are looking to make some more moves, and have lots of salary cap space to do it. Their current cap number is $53,711,310, with the floor set at $54.2 million according to CapGeek.com.
  • Adrian Dater via twitter: Contract talks with Ryan O’Reilly and the Avalanche will likely resume in a week or two according to his agent.
  • Chris Botta via twitter: Islanders Rick DiPietro was taken off the IR yesterday. If he was on the IR and there was a lockout, they’d have to pay him.
  • Sarah Baicker via twitter: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said that Marc-Andre Bourdon is “fine” from his concussion last season.
  • Anthony SanFilippo via twitter: Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette signed a 2 year contract extension, and is signed through 2014-15.
