Dave Isaac: Provorov’s contract doesn’t contain any no-trade protection.

Winnipeg Jets PR: The Jets and defenseman Josh Morrissey agreed on an eight-year $50 million contract extension – a $6.25 million salary cap hit.

Michael Augello: Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock said that defenseman Travis Dermott will likely miss their first “12 to 14 games.”
That would have him returning around the start the November.
TSN 1200: Ottawa Senators coach D.J. Smith said that Christian Wolanin slipped on the ice earlier this week and tore his labrum.
Wolanin will be out for four months.
David Schoen: Vegas Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon said that forward Ryan Reaves suffered an offseason training injury and will miss training camp. He is listed as day-to-day.
Eriksson still with the Canucks
Thomas Drance: Vancouver Canucks forward Loui Eriksson when asked if he had hoped he was traded in the offseason.
