Injury updates
Joe Haggerty: Boston Bruins forward Anton Blidh had shoulder surgery and will be out for four months.
Joe Haggerty: Bruins forward David Krejci missed practice yesterday after suffering a lower-body injury. He will be re-evaluated today.
“Obviously he didn’t skate today. He’ll be re-evaluated ,” said Cassidy. “I don’t think right now that it’s anything serious, but we’re going to take our time with it for sure. We want to make sure he’s ready to go .”
Charlie Roumeliotis: Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton said that both forwards Kirby Dach (concussion protocol) and John Quenneville (hip) are “getting close” to being able to practice with the team. Colliton added, “though that’s a long way from playing.”
Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago: Blackhawks goaltender Robin Lehner left practice early yesterday with an apparent injury.
“I don’t know,” Colliton said. “Obviously, he did leave so it wasn’t perfect but I haven’t got an update yet. I don’t think it’s a serious thing but obviously serious enough that he had to leave.”
The Blackhawks leave for Berlin tomorrow. They hope to have an update after their morning skate today.
Jordan Hall: Philadelphia Flyers forward Tyler Pitlick skated in a no-contact jersey. GM Chuck Fletcher said that he should be ready soon but they are not sure if he’ll be ready for their season opener.
Adam Kimelman: Fletcher said they don’t have an update on forward Nolan Patrick at the moment. They hope to have something in the next day or two.
Vancouver Canucks: Coach Travis Green said that both Brock Boeser and Oscar Fantenberg are in concussion protocol.
