The Board of Governors will be discussing a 4 Conference realignment option this week. This proposal would also include 2 rounds of intra-conference playoffs, with re-seeding for the final four (conference semi-finals).
Travel (regular season and playoffs) will definitely be brought up as an issue, as well as uneven rounds and what happens if/when the Coyotes move.
