Frustrations from a losing season and a parade of different wingers may have lead to this decision. Plekanec has dealt with 18 different line combinations. The Canadiens are looking for a winger with size in exchange for Plekanec.

- Louis Jean via twitter: Jean has been looking into the Plekanec rumor for 3 days. None of the teams he’s talked have heard his name. Has also been told that he never expressed desire to leave.

- Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune: Russo thinks the Wild should trade Josh Harding. As far as Harding knows, there have been no contract discussions. Mikko Koivu skated and was shooting pucks, but there is no timetable for his return.
