  • St. Louis Blues: The Blues released Ryan Whitney from his tryout. The Blues roster is now at 24. Lou Korac: Blues GM Doug Armstrong wouldn’t say whether they offered Whitney a two-way deal. Whitney had said earlier in camp that he wasn’t interested in that.
  • Craig Morgan of Fox Sports Arizona: (s/t  Pro Hockey Talk ) After releasing Gilbert Brule and reassigning Andy Miele and Jordan Szwarz to the AHL, the Coyotes are left with 25 players in camp. Rostislav Klesla will begin the season on the IR with a concussion. The last forward spot will come down to either Max Domi or Lucas Lessio.
  • Sam Carchidi: The Flyers are still undecided on the number of fowards and defense they will start the season with. Final cuts will be made late today. Michael Raffl and Oliver Lauridsen were sent to the AHL. Raffl needs more experience on the small ice surfaces.
