- James Mirtle: Maple Leafs David Clarkson will forfeit $269,230.80 in salary for his 10-game suspension. The Leafs will also have to add about $75,000 in salary to place him.
- Darren Dreger: Maple Leafs Phil Kessel will have a hearing at 4 pm today.
- Craig Custance: One GM suggested one way to eliminate designated fighters would be to reduce the roster limit by one to 22. The NHLPA may not like that though.
