SKA after Pavelec … Sullivan to play next year … Wings could target Wideman … Hagman, Blake won’t be back with Ducks

  • Dmitry Chesnokov via twitter: SKA’s coach confirmed that they are interested in signing Jets Ondrej Pavelec.
  • Josh Yohe via twitter: Yohe confirms that Penguins Steve Sullivan will play next year. Has had no talks with the Penguins yet. Will DePaoli via twitter: Sullivan’s agent, Steve Bartlett, expects to speak with Pens GM Ray Shero this week to see if Sullivan would be in their plans for next year.
  • Ansar Khan of MLive: Dennis Wideman could be a possible target for the Red Wings this offseason as they are looking to add a top pair of puck moving defenseman. Ryan Suter will be their primary target, but Wideman could be next. He’s a right hand shot that could be partnered with Nicklas Kronwall. It might take a long term deal at $4.5 to $5 million a season to get him.
  • Eric Stephens via twitter: Ducks GM Bob Murray confirms that Jason Blake and Niklas Hagman won’t be back next season.
