The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired center Brendan Morrison from the Calgary Flames for defenseman Brian Connelly.
Morrison has a $1.25 million salary cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of the season. He’ll likely center the ‘Hawks 2nd line, possibly the 3rd line if the feel Bolland is the #2.
Connelly carries a $525,000 NHL cap hit, and will be a RFA at the end of the season.
