The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded right winger Spencer Machacek to the Pittsburgh Penguins for right wingers Paul Thompson.
The 25-year old Machacek was drafted 67th overall in the 3rd round of the 2007 draft by the Thrashers.
The 25-year old Thompson was undrafted.
