Schenn a question mark for tonight

Jeremy Rutherford: St. Louis Blues coach Mike Yeo said that Brayden Schenn may not play tonight after suffering an upper-body injury on Saturday: “He was too sore today to practice,” Yeo said. “So obviously he’ll be a question mark for tomorrow.”

Lou Korac: Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo will be out another two weeks.

Hertl day-to-day

Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said they don’t think Tomas Hertl‘s injury is serious and they have him listed as day-to-day.

Evander Kane took some stitches to his upper lip after taking a puck to the face.

Kevin Kurz: Hertl took a hit to the head on Saturday.

LaDue progressing, Vilardi has a minor setback

Jon Rosen: Los Angeles Kings defenseman Paul LaDue is getting close to being 100 percent. He’s been skating the past several day and said: “Should be getting back into the swing of things this week.”

Bob McKenzie: Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi had been making progress after an offseason back procedure. He was close to getting clearance for contact but suffered a minor setback during his off-ice training. The issue is not related to his back.

Boeser tweaks groin

Vancouver Canucks: Forward Brock Boeser tweaked his groin and is day-to-day according to coach Travis Green.

Jeff Paterson: Canucks defenseman Chris Tanev (hip) practiced yesterday and they’ll decide today if he can go tonight.

Arvidsson to the IR

The Tennessean: The Nashville Predators put forward Viktor Arvidsson on the IR. He’s missed the past two games with a lower-body injury.

Pacioretty could return tonight

David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal: Vegas Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty will take part in their morning skate today and if all goes well he could return to the lineup tonight against the Maple Leafs.

“It’s going in the right direction. Everything looks good, but I can’t say he’s going to play yet,” coach Gerard Gallant said Monday. “He’s getting close, and hopefully it’s (Tuesday) night, but I’ll know that after the morning skate when the medical guys clear him. I’m hoping they’re going to clear him, but we’ll see.”

SinBin.Vegas: The Golden Knights never put Pacioretty on the IR so they don’t need to make a roster move if he’s ready to play.
