Goligoski fails concussion protocol after a hit along the boards

Matt Layman: Arizona Coyotes defenseman Alex Goligoski left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Sean Shapiro: Goligoski failed his concussion protocol testing.

Crawford on the ice again

Tracy Myers: Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford was on the ice before practice again yesterday.

Carter leaves early

Jon Rosen: Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Curtis Zupke: There was no update on Carter after the game. Coach Willie Desjardins did say he’s questionable for tonight – they’ll wait to see how he feels this morning.

No timetable for Aberg

Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said that there is no real timetable for when Pontus Aberg could return to the lineup. Said that it’s up to how Aberg feels.

Michael Russo: The Minnesota Wild have put forward Pontus Aberg on the IR. He’ll be out for at least the next two games.

Karlsson questionable

Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that defenseman Erik Karlsson is still day-to-day and questionable for tonight’s game.

Kevin Kurz: DeBoer said that Karlsson’s current injury is not related to his previous ankle injury.

Scary Edler incident

Elliotte Friedman: Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler was sitting up while taken off the ice while holding a towel on his face.

John Boruk: Edler was able to walk out of the arena in street clothes.

Iain MacIntyre: Edler was to spend the night in the hospital and was going to have a CT scan on his face/skull.

Ben Kuzma: Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko tweaked something during warmups. He was still limping around the room after the game.

Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province: Vancouver Canucks forward Sven Baertschi hasn’t been feeling well since after their game on Saturday. Baertschi had missed 30 games with a concussion. He’s been sent back to Vancouver.

“He didn’t feel good when he woke up yesterday (Sunday) in Colorado and he was there all day and woke up today and wasn’t feeling well and is probably going to fly home,” said Green. “He’s just not feeling right. It’s not a concussion, he just didn’t feel good.”

Byfuglien could return

Scott Billeck: Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien could return tonight.
