Rakell out with a lower-body injury

Elliott Teaford: Anaheim Ducks forward Rickard Rakell missed practice yesterday with a lower-body injury.

Elliott Teaford: Rakell left the Honda Center yesterday in a walking boot.

Hinostroza suffers an upper-body injury … Raanta to the IR

Craig Morgan: Arizona Coyotes forward Vinnie Hinostroza suffered a lower-body injury. He’ll be re-evaluated today.

Craig Morgan: The Coyotes put goaltender Antti Raanta on the IR with a lower-body injury.

Backlund injured last night

John Shannon: It’s sounding like Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund could be out for a while after being hit by Minnesota Wild defenseman Matt Dumba.

Hanzal to return tonight

Sean Shapiro: Dallas Stars forward Martin Hanzal will return to the lineup today.

Scherbak close

Curtis Zupke: Los Angeles Kings forward Nikita Scherbak said that he is close to being cleared.

No Koivu update yet

Minnesota Wild: Coach Bruce Boudreau said that he doesn’t have an update on forward Mikko Koivu‘s injury.

Predators injury update

Amar Basi: Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban has missed the past 10 games and there has been no news or timetable on a potential return according to Sportsnet’s John Shannon.

Adam Vingan of the Tennessean: The Predators haven’t let it be known if Kyle Turris has an upper- or lower-body injury and haven’t given to timetable. Video shows he took a hit to the rib area on November 23rd. He’s on the IR.

Filip Forsberg is out for four weeks with an upper-body injury.

Viktor Arvidsson is at least three weeks away from returning from his broken thumb.

Subban has missed the past 10 days with an upper-body injury and he appears to be the closest to returning.
