Ducks Miller out with a lower-body injury

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks goaltender Ryan Miller missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Crawford activated from the IR

Mark Lazerus: The Chicago Blackhawks have activated goaltender Corey Crawford from the IR and assigned goaltender Collin Delia to the AHL.

Nieto out for six to eight weeks

Adrian Dater: Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Nieto will be out for six to eight weeks.

Zuccarello to have surgery today

Mark Stepneski: Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill said that Mats Zuccarello was meeting with doctors about his broken arm. The timeline is still four weeks at this point.

Sean Shapiro: Zuccarello will be having surgery on the broken arm this morning. The Stars have recalled Denis Gurianov.

Sean Shapiro: There is hope that the surgery will speed the healing process up. The break was clean, so the surgery will line things up properly and help keep it together.

Karlsson is listed as day-to-day

Brodie Brazil: San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson is listed as “day-to-day” and “he’s going to be fine” according to GM Doug Wilson. It is sounding like they are going to be extra cautious with him.

Haula close to being able to start skating

SinBin.Vegas: Vegas Golden Knights GM George McPhee said that forward Erik Haula could start skating soon.

No update on Morrissey but trades suggest he’ll be out

Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun: Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff didn’t really have an update on defenseman Josh Morrissey who was injured on Sunday.

Trading for defensemen Nathan Beaulieu and Bogdan Kiselevich suggests Morrissey could miss some time.

The Jets are already without defensemen Dustin Byfuglien and Joe Morrow.
