Ducks injury updates

Anaheim Ducks: Ducks GM Bob Murray said that both Ryan Getzlaf and Carter Rowney are possibilities for Saturday. Jakob Silfverberg has a non-displaced broken finger. He was skating but is not able to do any puck handling.

Eric Stephens: Murray added that Silfverberg will try to play with the bad finger so he won’t be out long-term. They need to make some adjustments to his glove so that it’s protected.

Eric Stephens: Forward Ondrej Kase could get clearance from doctors soon as he’s been symptom-free for the past couple of days.

Crawford could start tonight

Eric Lear: Coach Joel Quenneville on Corey Crawford yesterday: “We’ll see how he is in the morning, but we expect him to play tomorrow.”

Eric Lear: Crawford said he’ll know after their morning skate this morning if he’ll be able to go tonight.

Mark Lazerus: Quenneville on Crawford: “He looks good in the net. He’s been off for a long, long time — is there rust? Do we expect rust? I think the way he’s competing and practicing and finding pucks, he looks like he hasn’t missed a beat.”

Quick getting close

Curtis Zupke: Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Brown and goaltender Jonathan Quick were on the ice yesterday morning.

Curtis Zupke: Quick was taking shots at practice with coach John Stevens hinting that he could be ready soon.

Galchenyuk progressing

Dave Vest: Arizona Coyotes GM John Chayka on Alex Galchenyuk: “Alex is progressing well. He’s on the road trip for a reason. We hope he plays at some point, but no firm date (is set) yet.”

A no-contact jersey for Byfuglien

Jason Bell: Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien practiced yesterday in a no-contact jersey.

No timetable Hamonic yet

Aaron Vickers: Calgary Flames coach Bill Peters said there is no timetable for defenseman Travis Hamonic‘s return. He skated in a no-contact jersey yesterday.
