Miller update coming today
Elliotte Teaford of the OC Register: The Anaheim Ducks should have an update on injured goaltender Ryan Miller today.
“We’ll probably have an update for you (Tuesday),” Coach Randy Carlyle said after the Ducks practiced Monday afternoon at Honda Center. “Right now, it’s just a lower-body injury.”
Coyotes will get one injured goalie back
Dave Vest: Arizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper has been out since November 21st with a lower-body injury. He practiced yesterday and could return as early as tonight according to coach Rick Tocchet.
Anisimov has a concussion
Tracey Myers: Chicago Blackhawks forward Artem Anisimov is in concussion protocol and is not traveling with the team.
Kamenev out long-term team … Update on Kerfoot could be today
Ron Knabenbauer of NHL.com: Colorado Avalanche forward Vladislav Kamenev will be out indefinitely as he needs shoulder surgery. He suffered the injury on Saturday night.
“It’s long term, might be for the year,” Bednar said of the center from Orsk, Russia. “Don’t know the whole scenario there.”
Last season he missed most of the year with a broken arm.
Forward Alex Kerfoot missed practiced yesterday and an update could come today.
“He went to the doctor’s office. He was getting looked at,” Bednar said of Kerfoot’s absence. “We’ll have an update on him possibly tomorrow.”
Vilardi healthy enough to give the WJC a shot
John Hoven: Los Angeles Kings prospect Gabriel Vilardi is good to go and they will assign him to Team Canada for the World Junior Championship.
Schwartz could return tonight
Lou Korac: St. Louis Blues forward Jaden Schwartz will see how he feels this morning before determining if he’ll be able to go tonight.
Jets injury updates
Paul Friesen: Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault is questionable for tonight. Andrew Copp and Joe Morrow are still out. Josh Morrissey and Connor Hellebuyck missed practice yesterday but are fine.
