Perry could return this weekend
Elliott Teaford: Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry and Patrick Eaves were on the ice yesterday.
Elliott Teaford of the OC Register: Perry has missed the past four months after having knee surgery and is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday.
Chayka on Ekman-Larsson
Dave Vest: Arizona Coyotes GM John Chayka on injured defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson: “OEL is day to day. He’s expected to practice with the team on Thursday and we will take it from there.”
Klefbom may have suffered a setback
Mark Spector of the Sportsnet: The Edmonton Oilers had been hoping to get defenseman Oscar Klefbom back real soon but he may have suffered a setback yesterday. He was hit on his injured hand, visited with the trainers and didn’t take part in practice for the final 15 minutes.
“We’ll see (Friday). We have another practice. Let’s see how it feels (Friday),” Klefbom said. “It’s been a long wait. And I can’t wait to be on the ice and play some games.”
The Oilers play on Saturday and Sunday.
Perron to the IR
Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The St. Louis Blues have placed forward David Perron on the IR with an upper-body injury. Perron missed three games prior to the All-Star break.
Perron won’t be heading to Columbus but could join the team with they head to Florida.
Vlasic ready to return
Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic said that he’s ready to go on Saturday.
Byfuglien now day-to-day
