Chayka on Ekman-Larsson

Klefbom may have suffered a setback

Mark Spector of the Sportsnet: The Edmonton Oilers had been hoping to get defenseman Oscar Klefbom back real soon but he may have suffered a setback yesterday. He was hit on his injured hand, visited with the trainers and didn’t take part in practice for the final 15 minutes.

“We’ll see (Friday). We have another practice. Let’s see how it feels (Friday),” Klefbom said. “It’s been a long wait. And I can’t wait to be on the ice and play some games.”

The Oilers play on Saturday and Sunday.

Perron to the IR

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The St. Louis Blues have placed forward David Perron on the IR with an upper-body injury. Perron missed three games prior to the All-Star break.

Perron won’t be heading to Columbus but could join the team with they head to Florida.
