Notes for the San Jose Sharks 

Tracey Myers of NHL.com: Erik Karlsson, Joe Pavelski and Tomas Hertl were not able to play in last night’s elimination game.

“You’re missing three guys that play a lot of minutes for us,” Sharks forward Logan Couture said. “Three very, very good players in the NHL and we were in a tough spot. But I thought we played extremely hard. No one gave up.

Pierre LeBrun: Sharks forward Joe Thornton will be 40-years old on July 2nd. Hopefully, he’s coming back for one more season.

Curtis Pashelka: Thornton said that he hasn’t thought about his long-term future just yet.

Notes for the St. Louis Blues who are advancing to the Stanley Cup Final

NHL Public Relations: The St. Louis Blues are in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 49 years. They were in last place on January 2nd.

NHL Publis Relations: The Blues are the first team in the expansion era (1967-68) to make the Stanley Cup Final to be in last place at any point during the season with at least 20 games played.

John Shannon: “Just last season, Blues’ farmhand Jordan Binnington refused an assignment to the ECHL…and Doug Armstrong struck a deal with Don Sweeney for the Goaltender to play for the Bruins’ AHL team in Providence…my how things change in 12 months.”
