Bill Meltzer: Forward Wayne Simmonds injury summary: “Torn pelvis since training camp (likely needs surgery). Then pulled groin. Then ankle fracture. 4 hours of dental surgery then multiple tooth extractions. Then torn thumb ligaments, which was only injury he sat out to heal.”
Adam Kimelman: Defenseman Ivan Provorov said that he has a Grade 3 AC shoulder sprain that should have kept him out of the lineup for six to eight weeks.

Jordan Hall: Goaltender Brian Elliott said that he’s been dealing with some scar tissue that impacted his range of motion. A month ago he couldn’t reach down to put his socks and shoes on.

Brian McNally: Coach Barry Trotz said that forward Andre Burakovsky is week-to-week and will start skating fairly quickly. They haven’t ruled him out for the Round 2.
