The Philadelphia Flyers have traded right winger Matthew Ford to the Columbus Blue Jackets for future considerations. The 28-year old will report to Springfield of the AHL.
Ford was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the eighth round, 256th overall in the 2004 draft.
Tyler Altemose via twitter: The move puts the Flyers at 51 total contracts, with three being ELSR. They have room to add two more contract.
