Canucks Edler Suspended for 3 Games For Hit on Sharks Hertl

NHL: Canucks defenseman Alex Edler has been suspended for three games for an illegal check to the head of Sharks forward Thomas Hertl.

Edler is a repeat offender and he’ll forfeit $182,926.83 in salary.

Oct. 8th: Season starts in North America

Nov. 1st and 2nd: Global Series – Florida and Dallas in Tampere, Finland

Dec. 31st: NHL Winter Classic – St. Louis vs. Chicago at Wrigley Field

Jan. 18th: Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada

Mar. 1st: NHL Stadium Series – Detroit vs. Columbus at Ohio State University
